Lani (pronounced Lan-Nee) is a 1/21 Lancaster, PA puppy mill survivor. She's around 4 years old and is a purebred Bichon Frise who had to be shaven completely down to the skin to remove the filth from the mill. Lani came to us terrified of the human hand. She onced cowered every time you try to pet her, but in a weeks time is starting to realize that the hand can be kind. We're now working with her to build confidence when going outside and being placed on the ground. Her former life as a mill breeder has caused a high level of anxiety with the outdoors.

Lani is such a darling little girl who will be absolutely beautiful when her white wavy fur comes back in. Her tail constantly wags as she explores her surroundings around the house. We feel she is showing great improvements in socialization and rehabilitation and is now ready for her special forever home. She is doing very well with paper training and is considered crate trained. Although tense when picked up, Lani quickly relaxes while held in your arms or in your lap. She is such a loving and gentle girl who will make a great family companion.

Lani needs a home which will offer the patience and love to further teach her that mankind is a kind and compassionate species. She would like someone who is home most of the time and would relish the idea of another dog in the house to keep her company.
