This website is updated daily.  If the animal you are interested in adopting is listed as "available for adoption", that means the animal is still in DPR's care. 

Noel is a teeny tiny kitten who was rescued from a southern shelter around Christmas. She has such a wonderful personality!  She is super cuddly and loves to sit on your lap. She is currently being fostered in a loving home in NC while she awaits transport to DPR, and while she has been in her foster home she has been accompanying her foster mom to schools as an ambassador for shelter animals and to help teach children how to properly care for animals. She loves her job and loves getting to play with all the kids at the schools! She gets along great with other animals and will make a wonderful addition to any home!  She will be available for adoption beginning 1/22/18. 

Noel has tested negative for FeLv/FIV, is up to date on all vaccinations and litter box trained. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out a "Cat Adoption Application"   at   www.DelawarePuppyRescue.org/forms    
      Adoption fee is: $150, plus $40 refundable spay/neuter deposit

DPR cats receive the following medical care prior to adoption: 

Initial vet visit 
Spay or neuter (if cat is 6 months or older)
Rabies vaccination (if cat is 6 months or older)
Distemper vaccination
SNAP testing for FIV, Leukemia and heart worm
Broad spectrum dewormers 
Monthly flea/tick preventative 
Ear mite preventative 
The above is standard for ALL cats in our care. But many cats we rescue also require some additional TLC prior to adoption, such as antibiotics, eye ointments, wound care, fungal treatment, x-rays, or various surgeries.  We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 charity. The adoption fee helps to offset our standard and non-standard vet bills.
