If you are interested in adopting Paco, please submit a "Cat Adoption Application" at www.DelawarePuppyRescue.org/forms
This website is updated daily. If the animal you are interested in adopting is listed as "available for adoption", that means the animal is still in DPR's care.
Meet Paco! He is a fluffy little guy who was rescued from a kill shelter in NC. He has personality plus! He is extremely chatty (as you can tell from his pictures which are all mid-talking!) He follows his foster mom everywhere and loves to "help" her with whatever she is doing.
He is currently being fostered in a loving home in NC while he awaits transport to DPR, and while he has been in his foster home, he has been accompanying her foster mom to schools as an ambassador for shelter animals and to help teach children how to properly care for animals. He loves his job and loves getting to play with all the kids at the schools! He gets along great with other animals and will make a wonderful addition to any home! He will be available for adoption beginning 1/22/18. If you are looking for a fun pair of kittens who get along well, his buddy is Noel!
Paco has tested negative for FeLv/FIV, is up to date on all vaccinations and litter box trained. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out a "Cat Adoption Application" at www.DelawarePuppyRescue.org/forms
Adoption fee is: $150, plus $40 refundable spay/neuter deposit
DPR cats receive the following medical care prior to adoption:
Initial vet visit
Spay or neuter (if cat is 6 months or older)
Rabies vaccination (if cat is 6 months or older)
Distemper vaccination
SNAP testing for FIV, Leukemia and heart worm
Broad spectrum dewormers
Monthly flea/tick preventative
Ear mite preventative
The above is standard for ALL cats in our care. But many cats we rescue also require some additional TLC prior to adoption, such as antibiotics, eye ointments, wound care, fungal treatment, x-rays, or various surgeries. We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 charity. The adoption fee helps to offset our standard and non-standard vet bills.
