Maltese / Mixed : : Female (not spayed) : : Baby : : Small
Chloe was rescued, along with several other puppies, from a Lancaster Puppy Mill. She was born at the beginning of September, so she's about 5 months old. She's still pretty tiny, only about 4 lbs, so she will most likely only be under 10 lbs full grown. Chloe is still extremely hand shy, as most puppy mill dogs are once they are rescued. Once you do "catch her", she is fine and gets comfortable in your arms rather quickly. She has a great spirit, and is very spunky and playful with her foster siblings. I don't think it will take her long to come around. Her foster mom has a male maltese who she follows everywhere. So it would be great for her to have a playmate to show her what is "normal", and that she doesn't have to be afraid of people. The whole socialization and human interaction is just new to her. Chloe needs a loving family, who will be patient with her while she gets more comfortable being picked up. She is not afraid to follow you around, and is normally right behind you are you move around the kitchen. She is still learning about the world around her, and definately likes to play. She quickly earned what toys and chewies are, and loves running around and play. She has mastered going up & down the little doggie steps I have. But we have not tried the steps outside on my deck. It's been very cold out, so we are still using the newspaper to pee on. She will need help with housetraining as she is still learning what grass is used for, as she sees her foster siblings use it every day. If you are interested in meeting Chloe, please fill out an application, and her foster mom will be in touch with you once your application has been processed. More about CHLOEGood with Dogs
