This website is updated daily. If the animal you are interested in adopting is listed as "available for adoption", that means the animal is still in DPR's care.
Meet Jim and Dwight! These adorable fluffy brothers were rescued locally from a family whose cat had a surprise litter of kittens. They have been loved and cuddled their entire lives, so they are very outgoing, friendly and affectionate! They love to wrestle with each other and play with toys. Once they are tired from playing, they love to snuggle with each other or with their human friends. They get along well with other cats and dogs too. They just turned 3 months old, so they are excited to look for a home of their very own. They are very bonded, so we are looking for a home where they can be adopted together!
Jim and Dwight have tested negative for FeLv/FIV, are up to date on all vaccinations and litter box trained. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out a "Cat Adoption Application" at www.DelawarePuppyRescue.org/forms
Adoption fee is: $300 for the pair, plus $40 fully refundable spay/neuter deposit
DPR cats receive the following medical care prior to adoption:
Initial vet visit
Spay or neuter (if cat is 6 months or older)
Rabies vaccination (if cat is 6 months or older)
Distemper vaccination
SNAP testing for FIV, Leukemia and heart worm
Broad spectrum dewormers
Monthly flea/tick preventative
Ear mite preventative
The above is standard for cats in our care. But many cats we rescue also require some additional TLC prior to adoption, such as antibiotics, eye ointments, wound care, fungal treatment, x-rays, or various surgeries. We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 charity. The adoption fee helps to offset our standard and non-standard vet bills.
