Can you believe this tiny little kitten was found in the middle of a busy road, narrowly missing being hit by a truck! Thank goodness a compassionate citizen stopped and saved the 4 week old kitten, and contacted us about taking her. Odessa was in a bit of rough shape and had to be bottle fed for a few weeks, but she is absolutely thriving now and having SO much fun running around and playing with all the toys and all the other kittens! She is as sweet as can be and is the perfect mix of playful and cuddly. She has the most beautiful fuzzy coat and a great personality to go along with her good looks. She's very affectionate and friendly and will make a great addition to any home!
She tested negative for FeLv/FIV/HW, is up to date on all vaccinations and litter box trained. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out a "Cat Adoption Application" at www.DelawarePetRescue.org/forms
Adoption fee is: $150, plus refundable $40 spay/neuter deposit
If you are interested in adopting this cat, please submit a "Cat Adoption Application" at www.DelawarePetRescue.org/forms
This website is updated daily. If the animal you are interested in adopting is listed as "available for adoption", that means the animal is still in DPR's care.
*Please note - due to COVID-19, we will not be able to do on-site meet and greets. Adoptive families can speak to the cats foster mom on the phone or do a meeting on Zoom or Facetime if desired to virtually meet the cat. All paperwork can be done online and adoption fees can be paid by Paypal. You can pick your kitty up "curb side". Cats can be returned with a full refund for up to one week. *
DPR cats receive the following medical care prior to adoption:
Initial vet visit
Spay or neuter (if cat is 6 months or older)
Rabies vaccination (if cat is 6 months or older)
Distemper vaccination
SNAP testing for FIV, Leukemia and heart worm
Broad spectrum dewormers
Monthly flea/tick preventative
Ear mite preventative
The above is standard for ALL cats in our care. But many cats we rescue also require some additional TLC prior to adoption, such as antibiotics, eye ointments, wound care, fungal treatment, x-rays, or various surgeries. We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 charity. The adoption fee helps to offset our standard and non-standard vet bills.
