Meet Kevin McCallister and his mommy, Kate McCallister! Kate is a gorgeous Siamese with a definite Siamese personality! She is vocal, curious and extremely affectionate! She loves to rub up against you and give headbutts. She is very petite at only 7 pounds, she kind of looks like a kitten herself. She has one kitten, Kevin, and even though he doesn't look like her at all, he definitely inherited her sweet personality! He is very affectionate and doesn't mind being carried around the house by little kids. He is playful but not overly hyper. He is only 3.5 months old and already weighs almost 5 pounds, so he will probably end up being a lot bigger than his mama. The two of them are always cuddling up together for naptime, and they play together too. We would be so excited if they were able to find a home where they could be adopted together. We will consider all applications, but preference will be given if there is any family who would be willing to welcome them both into their home. <3
Kate is spayed, Kevin is too young to be neutered and would be adopted out on a spay/neuter contract. Both have tested negative for FeLv/FIV/HW, are up to date on all vaccinations and litter box trained. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out a "Cat Adoption Application" at www.DelawarePetRescue.org/forms
Adoption fee is: $250 for the pair, plus $40 refundable spay/neuter deposit
If you are interested in adopting this cat, please submit a "Cat Adoption Application" at www.DelawarePetRescue.org/forms
This website is updated daily. If the animal you are interested in adopting is listed as "available for adoption", that means the animal is still in DPR's care.
*Please note - due to COVID-19, we will not be able to do on-site meet and greets. Adoptive families can speak to the cats foster mom on the phone or do a meeting on Zoom or Facetime if desired to virtually meet the cat. All paperwork can be done online and adoption fees can be paid by Paypal. You can pick your kitty up "curb side". Cats can be returned with a full refund for up to one week. *
DPR cats receive the following medical care prior to adoption:
Initial vet visit
Spay or neuter (if cat is 6 months or older)
Rabies vaccination (if cat is 6 months or older)
Distemper vaccination
SNAP testing for FIV, Leukemia and heart worm
Broad spectrum dewormers
Monthly flea/tick preventative
Ear mite preventative
The above is standard for ALL cats in our care. But many cats we rescue also require some additional TLC prior to adoption, such as antibiotics, eye ointments, wound care, fungal treatment, x-rays, or various surgeries. We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 charity. The adoption fee helps to offset our standard and non-standard vet bills.
