Learn more about the Shetland Sheepdog Sheltie.
Kai was given to us from a miller that couldn't sell him to a pet store because he had broken both his front feet. The miller did not pursue any medical treatment for Kai. As a result his two front paws splay outward. DPR took Kai to get x-rayed and evaluated by an orthopedic surgeon who indicated that there is nothing that can be done at this point to correct his paws. Thankfully Kai does perfectly well on them. He runs, plays, jumps and is as normal as any other Sheltie pup. His doctor did indicate that he will most likely develop arthritis as he goes into his elderly years but does not expect anything prematurely. Kai is crate trained and well on his way to being housetrained. If you are interested in meeting Kai please submit an adoption application. More about KaiGood with Dogs, Good with Cats
