Lap cat alert!! Orange is an incredibly friendly (and adorable) little kitten who instantly loves everyone he meets. He will run right up to you and climb onto your lap to cuddle. Orange and his siblings (Avocado, Grape and Plum) were rescued from a southern shelter. They arrived there as tiny helpless orphaned kittens who were going to be euthanized at the end of the day because there was nobody available to bottle feed them all every 2 hours. A DPR foster thankfully stepped up and saved these babies. Since they were bottle fed and hand raised, they are extremely friendly and well socialized! They love dogs and kids and have never met a stranger. They adjust quickly to new situations. They love playing and wrestling with each other, and when they've gotten their kitten zoomies out, you can find them all curled up together sound asleep in the same bed.

This cat tested negative for FIV/Felv, is up to date on shots, and litter box trained!

If you are interested in adopting, please fill out a "Cat Adoption Application"   at   www.DelawarePetRescue.org/forms

If you are interested in adopting this cat, please submit a "Cat Adoption Application"   at   www.DelawarePetRescue.org/forms
This website is updated daily.  If the animal you are interested in adopting is listed as "available for adoption", that means the animal is still in DPR's care.

*Please note - due to COVID-19, we will not be able to do on-site meet and greets. Potential adopters can speak to the cats foster mom on the phone or do a meeting on Zoom or Facetime if desired to virtually meet the cat. You can pick your kitty up "curb side". Cats can be returned with a full refund for up to one week. *

DPR cats receive the following medical care prior to adoption:

Initial vet visit
Spay or neuter (if cat is 6 months or older)
Rabies vaccination (if cat is 6 months or older)
Distemper vaccination
SNAP testing for FIV, Leukemia and heart worm
Broad spectrum dewormers
Monthly flea/tick preventative
Ear mite preventative
The above is standard for ALL cats in our care. But many cats we rescue also require some additional TLC prior to adoption, such as antibiotics, eye ointments, wound care, fungal treatment, x-rays, or various surgeries.  We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 charity. The adoption fee helps to offset our standard and non-standard vet bills.
