Meet Joe and Sophie! This sweet bonded pair was adopted out from DPR when they were kittens, and unfortunately their current owner can no longer care for them, so they are looking for a new home where they can hopefully continue to stay together. They are Russian Blue's and about 2 years old.
Joe is a sweet, curious, and social boy who loves nothing more than romping with his sister Sophie and snuggling with his humans. He is very active and would do best in a home with his sister or a playful buddy to wrestle with and chase. He would love a home where he gets plenty of exercise running after his feather stick or laser toy. Joe loves to be held and get lots of affection from his humans and he will talk to you when he wants some attention. Joe is comfortable with a leash/harness if you would like to take him out to explore the yard.

Sophie is a sweet girl who would do well in a quiet home with some routine. Sophie is slow to warm up, but once she does, she will love to sleep on your lap or nestled next to you, and purr up a storm. She loves looking out the window and will chirp when something catches her attention. Sophie is a true love bug who wants to be with her humans. She loves to chase after jingly balls and will fetch them and bring them back to play again. She also loves her laser toy. She is comfortable with a harness/leash if you would like to take her in the yard to explore. Sophie would do well if adopted with her brother Joe. She is currently on medication for anxiety but may be less anxious in the right home.

These cats are spayed/ neutered and tested negative for FIV/Felv

*Please note - due to COVID-19, we will not be able to do on-site meet and greets. Potential adopters can speak to the cats foster mom on the phone or do a meeting on Zoom or Facetime if desired to virtually meet the cat. You can pick your kitty up "curb side". Cats can be returned with a full refund for up to one week. *

DPR cats receive the following medical care prior to adoption:

Initial vet visit
Spay or neuter (if cat is 6 months or older)
Rabies vaccination (if cat is 6 months or older)
Distemper vaccination
SNAP testing for FIV, Leukemia and heart worm
Broad spectrum dewormers
Monthly flea/tick preventative
Ear mite preventative
The above is standard for ALL cats in our care. But many cats we rescue also require some additional TLC prior to adoption, such as antibiotics, eye ointments, wound care, fungal treatment, x-rays, or various surgeries. We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 charity. The adoption fee helps to offset our standard and non-standard vet bills.
