Meet Janet! She was rescued along with her sister, Rita, from a shelter in North Carolina. They are about 2.5 months old and are ready for adoption! These girls are super unique because only 20% of orange cats are female! Janet has the cutest chubby cheeks and she loves to play play play! She is friendly, affectionate and outgoing. She enjoys playing with her sister and with her toys, especially the crinkle balls and the wand toys. She will make a very fun addition to your home! Rita and Janet can be adopted together or separately, there is a discount for adopting the pair though!
This cat tested negative for FIV/Felv, is up to date on shots, and litter box trained!
If you are interested in adopting, please fill out a "Cat Adoption Application" at www.DelawarePetRescue.org/forms
Adoption fee is: $150 per kitten or $250 for the pair
If you are interested in adopting this cat, please submit a "Cat Adoption Application" at www.DelawarePetRescue.org/forms
This website is updated daily. If the animal you are interested in adopting is listed as "available for adoption", that means the animal is still in DPR's care.
*Please note - we do not do in-person meet and greets. Potential adopters can speak to the cats foster mom on the phone or do a meeting on Zoom or Facetime if desired to virtually meet the cat. You can pick your kitty up "curb side". Cats can be returned with a full refund for up to one week. *
DPR cats receive the following medical care prior to adoption:
Initial vet visit
Spay or neuter (if cat is 6 months or older)
Rabies vaccination (if cat is 6 months or older)
Distemper vaccination
SNAP testing for FIV, Leukemia and heart worm
Broad spectrum dewormers
Monthly flea/tick preventative
Ear mite preventative
The above is standard for ALL cats in our care. But many cats we rescue also require some additional TLC prior to adoption, such as antibiotics, eye ointments, wound care, fungal treatment, x-rays, or various surgeries. We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 charity. The adoption fee helps to offset our standard and non-standard vet bills.
