Meet Merlin! This big fluffy boy is a gentle giant who loves everyone he meets! He is a very chill cat with an awesome purr - his purr is so loud and deep it almost sounds like a growl. This guy would love nothing more than to cuddle on the couch with you while you binge watch your favorite show. He is very affectionate and loves to be pet. He gets along great with the other cats he's being fostered with, and he doesn't even mind the rambunctious kittens! We love Merlin and we know you will too. This cool dude will be an awesome addition to one very lucky home!
This cat is neutered, microchipped, tested negative for FIV/Felv, is up to date on shots, and litter box trained!

This website is updated daily. If the animal you are interested in adopting is listed as "available for adoption", that means the animal is still in DPR's care.
*Please note - we do not do in-person meet and greets. Potential adopters can speak to the cats foster mom on the phone or do a meeting on Zoom or Facetime if desired to virtually meet the cat. You can pick your kitty up "curb side". Cats can be returned with a full refund for up to one week. *
DPR cats receive the following medical care prior to adoption:
Initial vet visit
Spay or neuter (if cat is 6 months or older)
Rabies vaccination (if cat is 6 months or older)
Distemper vaccination
SNAP testing for FIV, Leukemia and heart worm
Broad spectrum dewormers
Monthly flea/tick preventative
Ear mite preventative
The above is standard for ALL cats in our care. But many cats we rescue also require some additional TLC prior to adoption, such as antibiotics, eye ointments, wound care, fungal treatment, x-rays, or various surgeries. We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 charity. The adoption fee helps to offset our standard and non-standard vet bills.
