Phil has so much personality crammed into a 1.5 pound little kitten body. He is equal parts sweet innocent cuddle bug lap cat and big bossy lion. He LOVES his food, and he will lay in the food bowl with his arms encircling the entire thing and not let anybody else eat until he's finished. All the other kittens and adults respect that he gets to eat first- after all he's a growing kitten!! He just cracks us up. When he has a nice full belly, he will climb up on our laps and want to cuddle. He is very affectionate! He also enjoys playing and wrestling with with the other kittens. He gets along great with the children in his foster home as well. He has a super long fluffy coat that will need to be brushed daily.
This cat is microchipped, tested negative for FIV/Felv, is up to date on shots, and litter box trained!

This website is updated daily. If the animal you are interested in adopting is listed as "available for adoption", that means the animal is still in DPR's care.
*Please note - we do not do in-person meet and greets. Potential adopters can speak to the cats foster mom on the phone or do a meeting on Zoom or Facetime if desired to virtually meet the cat. You can pick your kitty up "curb side". Cats can be returned with a full refund for up to one week. *
DPR cats receive the following medical care prior to adoption:
Initial vet visit
Spay or neuter (if cat is 6 months or older)
Rabies vaccination (if cat is 6 months or older)
Distemper vaccination
SNAP testing for FIV, Leukemia and heart worm
Broad spectrum dewormers
Monthly flea/tick preventative
Ear mite preventative
The above is standard for ALL cats in our care. But many cats we rescue also require some additional TLC prior to adoption, such as antibiotics, eye ointments, wound care, fungal treatment, x-rays, or various surgeries. We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 charity. The adoption fee helps to offset our standard and non-standard vet bills.
