Meet Emu! This super friendly boy was rescued from a shelter in Maryland and loves to explore! He is active and playful but is also very happy just to chill out in your lap. He is comfortable being handled by children too. He's a good boy! He squeaks the loudest when it is salad time and it just cracks us up every time! He sure knows the sound of a rustling bag and will let you know that you're taking too long to get his yummy fruits and veggies together! He will excitedly eat right out of your hand. He's the kind of guinea pig who likes to be right in the middle of everything - when we spot clean his cage he is super curious and follows us around and likes to "help".  He gets so excited when he has some extra space to run around and will "popcorn" in joy! (Check out his video!) He is so much fun and is so funny, we love him and we know you will too! 

All our guinea pigs see the vet for a wellness visit and nail trim prior to adoption. 

Guinea pigs have wonderful personalities- they are gentle and we have yet to come across any who bite, and they keep a daytime schedule! They form close bonds with their people, similar to cats and dogs. Did you know they are able to recognize people based on scent, sound and sight?! These sweet animals make wonderful pets!

*Please note - we do not do on-site meet and greets. Potential adopters can speak to the guinea pig's foster mom on the phone or do a meeting on Zoom or Facetime if desired to virtually meet the guinea pig. You can pick your guinea pig up "curb side". Guinea pigs can be returned with a full refund for up to one week. *
