Wendy is a stunning 10-month-old white kitten with one blue eye and one green eye. She is sweet, lovable, spunky, and has spurts of energy for playtime. She loves being pet (especially head scratches) and likes sitting on your lap while kneading and purring. She also enjoys looking out the window or curling up on her cat tree. She is curious and vocal; she likes chirping or meowing to converse. She is sociable and friendly, likes to stay near her humans, and needs people who are home more often and/or another cat to keep her company.
She likes playing a lot. Her favorite toys right now are spring toys, caterpillar stick, mouse on strick and she also likes feathers. He's curious and likes to explore. She likes being near you, will follow you around. She likes head/cheek rubs, and likes to look in mirrors.
She deserves a great home full of people who love her and can give her quality attention.
She was originally rescued from Puerto Rico, flown to the US and briefly adopted. Her owner was not able take care of her anymore and the original rescue was not able to take her back, so they reached out to us to help. We took Wendy into our program and she's currently at a loving foster home awaiting a forever home.

Estimated birth date 9/25/22.
She is healthy (checked by the vet on 6/28/23), spayed, up-to-date on vaccines.

She has lived with cats at a shelter and loves people once she’s adjusted to her surroundings.

This cat is spayed, tested negative for FIV and Leukemia and is up to date on all age-appropriate vaccinations.

This website is updated daily.  If the animal you are interested in adopting is listed as "available for adoption", that means the animal is still in DPR's care.

*Please note - we do not do in-person meet and greets. Potential adopters can speak to the cats foster mom on the phone or do a meeting on Zoom or Facetime if desired to virtually meet the cat. You can pick your kitty up "curb side". Cats can be returned with a full refund for up to one week. *

DPR cats receive the following medical care prior to adoption:

Initial vet visit
Spay or neuter (if cat is 6 months or older)
Rabies vaccination (if cat is 6 months or older)
Distemper vaccination
SNAP testing for FIV, Leukemia and heart worm
Broad spectrum dewormers
Monthly flea/tick preventative
Ear mite preventative
The above is standard for ALL cats in our care. But many cats we rescue also require some additional TLC prior to adoption, such as antibiotics, eye ointments, wound care, fungal treatment, x-rays, or various surgeries.  We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 charity. The adoption fee helps to offset our standard and non-standard vet bills.
