Meet Peony! Have you ever seen such a cute bumble bee?! She was very agreeable about dressing up for her photo shoot. She's a bit of a rotund girl, and we truly mean that as a compliment - we just love plump guinea pigs! She has such pretty coloring and a sweet personality to go along with her good looks. She arrived with several other guinea pigs to DPR when her owner could no longer care for them. She is comfortable with being held and pet and loves when it's snack time! 

All our guinea pigs see the vet for a wellness visit and nail trim  prior to adoption. 

Guinea pigs have wonderful personalities- they are gentle and we have yet to come across any who bite, and they keep a daytime schedule! They form close bonds with their people, similar to cats and dogs. Did you know they are able to recognize people based on scent, sound and sight?! These sweet animals make wonderful pets!

This website is updated daily.  If the animal you are interested in adopting is listed as "available for adoption", that means the animal is still in DPR's care. 


*Please note - we do not do on-site meet and greets. Potential adopters can speak to the guinea pig's foster mom on the phone or do a meeting on Zoom or Facetime if desired to virtually meet the guinea pig. You can pick your guinea pig up "curb side". Guinea pigs can be returned with a full refund for up to one week. *
