Meet Flounder! Isn't he just the most gorgeous kitten?! He's about 5 months old and is SO soft and fluffy. This boy LOVES to play! His absolute favorite is the wand toys. It is so entertaining to watch him leap into the air and contort himself in all sorts of ways to try to catch the feather. He has no concern for self preservation and is unphased when he crashes into the wall trying while on a mission to catch his toy. He is guaranteed to make you laugh! When he's not playing, you can find him asking for pets and cuddles from his human friends. He is very loving, affectionate, outgoing and friendly. He gets along great with everyone, including other cats, dogs and kids! He loves to explore. He will make a very fun addition to your home!
This cat is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, and tested negative for FIV/Felv.

This website is updated daily. If the animal you are interested in adopting is listed as "available for adoption", that means the animal is still in DPR's care.
*Please note - we do not do in-person meet and greets. Potential adopters can speak to the cats foster mom on the phone or do a meeting on Zoom or Facetime if desired to virtually meet the cat. You can pick your kitty up "curb side". Cats can be returned with a full refund for up to one week. *
DPR cats receive the following medical care prior to adoption:
Initial vet visit
Spay or neuter (if cat is 6 months or older)
Rabies vaccination (if cat is 6 months or older)
Distemper vaccination
SNAP testing for FIV, Leukemia and heart worm
Broad spectrum dewormers
Monthly flea/tick preventative
Ear mite preventative
The above is standard for ALL cats in our care. But many cats we rescue also require some additional TLC prior to adoption, such as antibiotics, eye ointments, wound care, fungal treatment, x-rays, or various surgeries. We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 charity. The adoption fee helps to offset our standard and non-standard vet bills.
