LAP CAT ALERT!! Link is desperate to snuggle on your lap (or your kids lap, or your friends lap, or literally any lap he can find!) He wants nothing more than to be pet and loved and is the ultimate cuddle bug. He is wonderful with the children at his foster home and often seeks out their attention. He gets along great with all the other cats and kittens at his foster home too. He is confident and friendly, and while most cats take a little bit of time to adjust to a new place, Link sauntered out of his crate at his foster home after a 12 hour trip from the NC shelter he was rescued from and immediately made himself right at home! We just can't say enough great things about this awesome kitten! He was rescued along with his brother, Onox, and he's excited to find a loving home! He will need regular brushing and grooming to prevent his long hair from becoming matted.
This cat is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, and tested negative for FIV/Felv.

This website is updated daily. If the animal you are interested in adopting is listed as "available for adoption", that means the animal is still in DPR's care.
*Please note - we do not do in-person meet and greets. Potential adopters can speak to the cats foster mom on the phone or do a meeting on Zoom or Facetime if desired to virtually meet the cat. You can pick your kitty up "curb side". Cats can be returned with a full refund for up to one week. *
DPR cats receive the following medical care prior to adoption:
Initial vet visit
Spay or neuter (if cat is 6 months or older)
Rabies vaccination (if cat is 6 months or older)
Distemper vaccination
SNAP testing for FIV, Leukemia and heart worm
Broad spectrum dewormers
Monthly flea/tick preventative
Ear mite preventative
The above is standard for ALL cats in our care. But many cats we rescue also require some additional TLC prior to adoption, such as antibiotics, eye ointments, wound care, fungal treatment, x-rays, or various surgeries. We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 charity. The adoption fee helps to offset our standard and non-standard vet bills.
