Meet Lynel and Feathers! These two adorable, friendly, playful kittens are brothers and are sure to keep you entertained! They are affectionate and love being pet and held. They are very outgoing and are used to being picked up and carried around. They are great with the kids at their foster home and love to make new friends. Their favorite thing in the world is playing with each other. After a play session, you can find them completely passed out in the funniest positions. They are only 3 months old and have a soft, short coat that makes grooming an absolute breeze! They were rescued from a shelter in North Carolina along with their mom, Zelda, and are having a blast at their foster home while they await a loving forever home.
These kittens are neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, and tested negative for FIV/Felv.

This website is updated daily. If the animal you are interested in adopting is listed as "available for adoption", that means the animal is still in DPR's care.
*Please note - we do not do in-person meet and greets. Potential adopters can speak to the cats foster mom on the phone or do a meeting on Zoom or Facetime if desired to virtually meet the cat. You can pick your kitty up "curb side". Cats can be returned with a full refund for up to one week. *
DPR cats receive the following medical care prior to adoption:
Initial vet visit
Spay or neuter (if cat is 6 months or older)
Rabies vaccination (if cat is 6 months or older)
Distemper vaccination
SNAP testing for FIV, Leukemia and heart worm
Broad spectrum dewormers
Monthly flea/tick preventative
Ear mite preventative
The above is standard for ALL cats in our care. But many cats we rescue also require some additional TLC prior to adoption, such as antibiotics, eye ointments, wound care, fungal treatment, x-rays, or various surgeries. We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 charity. The adoption fee helps to offset our standard and non-standard vet bills.
