Meet Ganon! He is a super friendly, outgoing and affectionate kitty who loves to chat and tell you all the good news! He always replies when you talk to him, in an adorably raspy voice. He runs to greet you when you walk in the door and will hop right up on your lap for some cuddles. He's a big boy and likes to stretch himself across your entire lap, he's all about the dramatic cuddles. He is wonderful with the children in his foster home and will often seek out their attention. If they're playing a game, he will insert himself right into it - he just likes to be involved in whatever they're doing! He's great with the other cats and kittens he is being fostered with and he seems to actually enjoy the company of the dog! Ganon will make a fabulous addition to your home!
This cat is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, and tested negative for FIV/Felv.

This website is updated daily. If the animal you are interested in adopting is listed as "available for adoption", that means the animal is still in DPR's care.
*Please note - we do not do in-person meet and greets. Potential adopters can speak to the cats foster mom on the phone or do a meeting on Zoom or Facetime if desired to virtually meet the cat. You can pick your kitty up "curb side". Cats can be returned with a full refund for up to one week. *
DPR cats receive the following medical care prior to adoption:
Initial vet visit
Spay or neuter (if cat is 6 months or older)
Rabies vaccination (if cat is 6 months or older)
Distemper vaccination
SNAP testing for FIV, Leukemia and heart worm
Broad spectrum dewormers
Monthly flea/tick preventative
Ear mite preventative
The above is standard for ALL cats in our care. But many cats we rescue also require some additional TLC prior to adoption, such as antibiotics, eye ointments, wound care, fungal treatment, x-rays, or various surgeries. We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 charity. The adoption fee helps to offset our standard and non-standard vet bills.
