Meet Ed Sheeran! This 6 month old fluffy kitten is a complete heart breaker!! He has SO much love to give and has such an awesome personality. He was rescued from a shelter in North Carolina, and was an absolute favorite of his foster mom (shhh don't tell the others!) He would sleep cuddled in bed with her every night. He is so friendly and affectionate and gets along great with everyone - cats, kittens, dogs, kids, you name it! When he's not cuddling with someone, you can often find him perched regally on his cat tree either gazing out the window or watching over his empire. He wraps his tail around his feet when he's sitting, and it makes him look so dapper! We love Eddie and we know you will too!
This cat is neutered, microchipped, up to date on distemper and rabies vaccinations, dewormings, tested negative for FIV/Felv, is on flea/tick preventative and ear mite preventative.

This website is updated daily. If the animal you are interested in adopting is listed as "available for adoption", that means the animal is still in DPR's care.
*Please note - we do not do in-person meet and greets. Potential adopters can speak to the cats foster mom on the phone or do a meeting on Zoom or Facetime if desired to virtually meet the cat. You can pick your kitty up "curb side". Cats can be returned with a full refund for up to one week. *
DPR cats receive the following medical care prior to adoption:
Initial vet visit
Spay or neuter (if cat is 6 months or older)
Rabies vaccination (if cat is 6 months or older)
Distemper vaccination
SNAP testing for FIV, Leukemia and heart worm
Broad spectrum dewormers
Monthly flea/tick preventative
Ear mite preventative
The above is standard for ALL cats in our care. But many cats we rescue also require some additional TLC prior to adoption, such as antibiotics, eye ointments, wound care, fungal treatment, x-rays, or various surgeries. We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 charity. The adoption fee helps to offset our standard and non-standard vet bills.
