Meet Mrs. Kekoa! She is about 1 year old and was rescued along with her brother (Pleakley) from a shelter in North Carolina. She's been through a lot of changes in the past few weeks - from being in a scary shelter, to a foster home in NC, then transported across the country to us. She is still decompressing, and we are excited to get to know her true personality. She is sweet and lets us pet her. Her brother is outgoing, so if you're looking for a nice pair, we would waive one of their adoption fees. Won't you take a change on poor little Mrs. Kekoa?! She would be forever grateful <3
This cat is neutered, up to date on distemper and rabies vaccinations, dewormings, tested negative for FIV/Felv, is on flea/tick preventative and ear mite preventative.

*Please note - we do not do in-person meet and greets. Potential adopters can speak to the cats foster mom on the phone or do a meeting on Zoom or Facetime if desired to virtually meet the cat. You can pick your kitty up "curb side". Cats can be returned with a full refund for up to one week. *
DPR cats receive the following medical care prior to adoption:
Initial vet visit
Spay or neuter (if cat is 6 months or older)
Rabies vaccination (if cat is 6 months or older)
Distemper vaccination
SNAP testing for FIV, Leukemia and heart worm
Broad spectrum dewormers
Monthly flea/tick preventative
Ear mite preventative
The above is standard for ALL cats in our care. But many cats we rescue also require some additional TLC prior to adoption, such as antibiotics, eye ointments, wound care, fungal treatment, x-rays, or various surgeries. We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 charity. The adoption fee helps to offset our standard and non-standard vet bills.
