Meet Jumba! This BIG guy loves being pet (neck scratches are his absolute favorite) and will flop around and head butt you as you pet him. He is very affectionate! He weighs over 14 pounds and has long fluffy hair and striking white whiskers. He'll have to be brushed regularly to keep his long hair from getting matted. He gets along well with other cats and kittens and is just a mellow, easy going dude. He'll make a wonderful addition to your family!

This website is updated daily. If the animal you are interested in adopting is listed as "available for adoption", that means the animal is still in DPR's care.
DPR cats receive the following medical care prior to adoption:
Initial vet visit
Spay or neuter (if cat is 6 months or older)
Rabies vaccination (if cat is 6 months or older)
Distemper vaccination
SNAP testing for FIV, Leukemia and heart worm
Broad spectrum dewormers
Monthly flea/tick preventative
Ear mite preventative
The above is standard for ALL cats in our care. But many cats we rescue also require some additional TLC prior to adoption, such as antibiotics, eye ointments, wound care, fungal treatment, x-rays, or various surgeries. We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 charity. The adoption fee helps to offset our standard and non-standard vet bills.
