If you were the parents of "Miss Taylor Swift" would you give her up for adoption? Well, I guess the parents of this "Taylor", were no longer enjoying her unique and energetic personality, when they agreed to surrender her ownership to us at Delaware Puppy Rescue.  (What did they expect when they adopted a Jack Russell Terrier?)

Unfortunately for Taylor, this decision was not initiated by her owners. Instead, she was put outside and ignored. At first she was allowed to come in at night. But it wasn’t long before she was forced to spend all day and all night outside. As if that wasn’t bad enough, Taylor was tied up to a tree, and unable to run around and enjoy the acres of farm land she lived on. And if it weren't for a concerned neighbor, Taylor would not have had any water through-out this HOT summer we just had. Eventually, DPR got word about the terrible conditions this poor dog was forced to live in, and decided to step in. So it was our Rescue who approached the owners about surrendering her into our care.

Taylor is about a year and a half, and is very friendly with all people (both adults and children).  She just can't wait to launch herself into your lap and cover you with kisses. It seems that Taylor is so starved for attention, that she doesn't want you  to stop petting her. She is definately housebroken, and does not bark at all when she is by herself.

Taylor is still a young dog, and will require both exercise and patience.  In typical terrier fashion, Taylor can be fussy about which dogs she chooses to be friends with. So she would be perfect for someone who's looking for an "only dog."
