Learn more about the Border Collie.
Joshua is one of eight puppies born to Sophie, a tiny Border Collie that was rescued from a shelter a few weeks before giving birth. Joshua is the smallest in the litter and had a fracture in his front leg when he was just a few days old. As a result of the fracture, which has healed, his leg is a bit shorter than the other. He has no problem though and keeps up with his siblings and even starts some trouble of his own every once in awhile. He is very affectionate and loves to cuddle. He will need to have owners that will make sure he keeps on the slim side in his adult years because his leg will always be a bit weaker than his other. Joshua would not be a good dog for an active family who likes to go hiking or looking for an agility dog. Though it's hard to tell by watching him that there is a difference in his front legs, he needs a family that doesn't let him get too heavy or who doesn't want an athletic dog. If you are interested in meeting Joshua please submit an adoption application.
