“These purebred labs are real sisters and their family had to give them up because of a new baby. Not that they were a problem with the baby, they just wanted to lick him but they are very BIG, 80 pounds each, 1 1/2 year old labs who need a lot of room to play and attention. A 5 month old baby takes up most of the time the family used to spend with the girls.

We are committed to keeping them together ... so please do not ask to just adopt one. They have lived with their family since they were 8 weeks old so we feel the very least we can do for these homeless girls is give them the ability to live their lives out together. They truly adore each other and they play all day together and keep each other company

The pictures we have are when they were 8 months old so just double their size to get an idea of just how big they are. We will get more this weekend.

Their family has this to say about the girls, Calle is the chocolate and Coda is the black. Both girls adore going for walks, and they love to play catch with anyone. Their favorite chew toys are rawhides shaped in circles. If you go to the freezer they request their share of ice cubes please and if you're headed toward the pantry, some peanut butter in their Kongs would be much appreciated. They are completely housetrained. If you lay on the floor, they will want to lay on top of you and chew on their toys. They understand basic commands such as sit, stay and lay down, but a refresher course may be necessary since their parents have been very busy for the last 5 months with the new baby.

Water ... the hardest job you will have is to get these two OUT of the tub during a bath or any kind of water that they can find. They are labs and labs really, really do love water! If there is a puddle a lab with find it and splash around it in!

The girls are very rambunctious with each other and play all day with the "teeth fighting" and running and chasing each other. It is great that they have each other to expend that energy on. They have never growled, bit or scared anyone. They are great with other dogs however they have never lived with other animals.

They are in foster care at my home and they are doing very well except of course they are confused as to why they are here. They are crated trained, up to date with their shots, spayed, housetrained, and their medical records will be provided to their new family.

They get along with other dogs, kids and people and are just WONDERFUL in the car. One looks out one window and the other the other side. They are sweet and loveable girls and we hope to get lots of qualified applications on them.

The only cost involved with them to our rescue will be $50 which is needed to pay for their micro-chips which we are having done. Since we did not provide their medical treatment, they do not have our standard adoption donation.

What we are hoping is that who ever adopts them, would be willing to make some donation to L&F Dog Rescue to help us to continue our work.

This pet is: up to date with routine shots, already house trained, altered”
