More about ErnieGood with Dogs, Good with Cats Special Needs: Ernie was found injured and brought to Limestone Veterinary Hospital where everyone instantly fell in love with him. Though the vet tried to save his eye there was just too much damage. We don't know what happened to him but no one has claimed him and due to his condition when found we don't think anyone was taking very good care of him. He is recovering nicely from his surgery and in time the swelling will come down and his scar will decrease in size. According to Ernie, he couldn't care less about missing that eye. It hasn't slowed him down. He enjoys running around and playing fetch. He also loves to snuggle and likes to warm up under a blanket. Ernie can't wait to get his belly rubbed and he could probably let you pet him all day if you could. Ernie is a little shy at first, but he'll warm up to you. He seems to feel more comfortable around women, but makes friends with men as well. He's pretty good at going to the bathroom outside. Ernie just wants to be given lots of love and cuddle time.
