UPDATE- 5/24/13 - Winston is doing GREAT!! Wow, what a difference the eye surgery has made! No more red watery, irritated eyes for our buddy Winston! We saw a dramatic improvement immediately after his surgery - he can open his eyes wide, the sun no longer bothers him and his tail is wagging even more than usual! We thought he was a happy puppy before the surgery- well you should see how happy he is now! He is finally pain free and is absolutely loving life. He will be ready to go to his forever home next week after he has his stitches out. Thank you to everyone who so graciously donated to help Winston! 4/28/13 - Meet Winston! He is a 12 week old Shar Pei / Basset Hound mix who was rescued from a puppy mill in Indiana. We just can't say enough great things about this sweet boy! He is the most adorable puppy with the best personality! He loves everyone he meets - he's super outgoing and friendly, and his tail is always wagging. He loves to climb up in your lap for some cuddle time, but he also loves to run around outside and play with his toys and his foster siblings. And that face and those wrinkles are enough to melt any heart!! Winston has entropion which means that his eye lids roll inwards, causing his eye lashes to rub against his eyes. It's a painful condition, and right now his eyes are watery and irritated. Thankfully, this is able to be corrected with surgery, which is scheduled for May 15th. Winston would be so very thankful to anyone who is able to donate to help sponsor his eye surgeries. Every dollar helps, and all donations are tax deductible. Winston is looking forward to being pain-free! Stay tuned for updates! Winston will be available for adoption after he is healed from his surgery, which should be around the end of May. We are accepting adoption applications for him, so if you think you'd be the perfect home for Winston, please submit an application at www.delawarepuppyrescue.com/forms Adoption donation = $375.00 More about WinstonGood with Dogs, Good with Cats
