Jenny is a medium sized (about 45lbs) incredibly sweet young Lab/Beagle mix. She was picked up by dog control, pregnant and not even a year old. Dog control does not have a shelter and Jenny was most likely going to be euthanized. But lucky for her a wonderful lady stopped in and decided to give Jenny a second chance. She contacted Delmar Puppy Rescue about Jenny and now Jenny is in a foster home. She has given birth to nine lovely puppies and will be ready for her new home as soon as she is finished caring for them. Jenny is an awesome dog and if any dog ever deserved another chance it is her. Jenny is crate trained and house broken. She gets along well with her two foster brother Golden Retrievers and her foster brother kitty and she LOVES the neighborhood kids who come by to play with her. She adores everyone and although she is a young Lab and will need exersize, Jenny is also happy to relax and watch TV with her family. Jenny tested heartworm positive when she arrived, as do many dogs that have been stray for any period of time in this area. Her heartworm case was not that severe and her treatment has simply been monthly heartworm preventative just as you would give any other dog. She is doing very well and does not display any symptoms. Because of her youth, Jenny still needs some work with training, but she is very eager to please and there is no doubt that she is going to make some family very happy. Jenny is a really special girl and even had the opportunity to go horseback-riding with her foster mom where she jogged along beside the horses like an old pro.
