Meet Opal, a sweet, petite, 11-month old feline. Opal was at a high-kill shelter with a minor injury to her front left paw. Since the shelter was overcrowded with healthy uninjured kitties, they were going to euthanize Opal the next morning. But Delaware Puppy Rescue saw Opal's beautiful picture and when we learned of her fate, we rescued her.
Opal was seen by our veterinarian bone specialist. He examined her and took x-rays. He explained that she simply has a minor old fraction to her front paw--which merely makes that paw point out a bit to the right ( we call it her 'ballerina pose'). It does not hurt her, it does not require any surgery, nor does it affect her movement/motion (she jumps up to sit in the window ledges easily) in any way.
Opal has beautiful ice-blue eyes, and a medium-long, soft white coat. She loves people, enjoys being petted, and will sit on the chair with her foster mom while her foster mom is working at her computer. This adorable little girl gets along very well with other cats and dogs. Won't you consider giving her the wonderful fur-ever home she deserves?
